How Is The Plate Movement ? What impact on the Earth ?

The Earth

Formed the topography of the land over the years due to the ongoing crust movement, and was the land divided into sheets move by one centimeter a year ago, in ancient times there was not any evidence about plate movement, and it was thought that the earth this form since created by God Almighty, was mystery has baffled scientists for many years.

With the development of science and the study of fossils found in different regions of the earth indicates that the lack of evidence of the health of the perception, where they found fossils of organisms lived in different and distant from each continent, and this indicates that these continents that have found fossils similar which were adjacent to each other or close very together, allowing these organisms be present therein, and the first scientists who have called the theory of "shifting of the continents" is a German scientist Alfred Wegener in 1922.

Plate movement

The Earth is divided into six large sheets, oceanic and continental; oceanic plates be higher than the continental plates density density, where is composed of silicon and magnesium, while continental plates consisting of silicon, aluminum, and these plates: the Pacific Plate and the plate of the Eurasian and African plate, and the plate North America, and the South American plate, and the lamina Australian Indian and Arabian plate, and the plate of Iran, while there are a lot of small plates such as: Nazca plate ocean in the Pacific Ocean, and the plate Iranian continental plate and the Arabian Peninsula continental and oceanic; where part of it under the land portion located under the water.

These plates move in different directions, and because of this constant movement and collisions appeared terrain of mountains and plateaus, rivers and oceans, and headed geologists to divide the movement of earth plates to:

Divergent Movement: When the plates move away from each other opposite directions , causing the movement of vertical crust cracks; where the climb is part of Zir rock basalt to fill the void that happened because of the spacing, and have the effect of small earthquakes, and examples of divergent movement plate Arabian Peninsula and Africa movement.

Convergent Movement: the closer the plates towards each other, which may cause the collision, which produces are mountains and canyons, as the cracks reverse appears, was approaching two continents  plates from each other, producing mountains like the Himalayas, and may approach a continental plate of oceanic plate are cut plate continental large distances from the oceanic plate, producing mountains and canyons, such as the Andes.

Sliding Movement: where plates are moving in parallel or glide down the other one, and this movement occurs as a result of the rising convection currents and the resulting calamity due to differences in temperature and pressure in the ground.
